Eagles Football Season Comes to an End, But Team Grateful for Support 👏

Even though the football season ended without a state championship, the team, led by Coach John Perry, is extremely grateful and thankful for all the support from the community. From the first game of the year to the final whistle, Nixa fans packed the stands, traveled across the state, and supported the team in every possible way. The players, especially the seniors, are grateful for the friendships and brotherhood that helped shape an incredible 37-3 record in their varsity career!

🎙️New Media Club Opens Students’ Eyes to the Possibilities 🎥

High Pointe Principal Marilyn Hanna has been dreaming of having a media club at her school for some time. The dream became a reality this year as she enlisted a couple of staff members to help get the project off the ground. The student’s job is to report on the activities happening at High Pointe, keeping their school community informed in a fun and engaging way. The learning went to another level when the Nixa Live crew came over to work with the kids and showed them some tricks of the trade.

Inman Students Having Fun Working on House Design Project 🏠

A handful of students at Inman have been getting to school early a couple of days a week so they can work on designing and building a home. The students were selected to work with Paula Macy, the gifted coordinator in the district, to work on a project where they are learning everything from the ground up about designing and building a home.

⚾️ Third Graders Work on Adding to a Missouri State Symbol 🏈
  • MATHEWS

The 3rd-grade team at Mathews found out that the St. Louis Blues are recognized as the only official sports team in our state. That got the teachers thinking and wondering what about Missouri’s other professional sports teams, such as the Cardinals, Chiefs, and Royals. The students went to work researching, writing, and utilizing their art skills, and are now ready to present to our local legislators the reasons why the Chiefs and the other teams should be added to the list of Missouri state symbols.
